RescueAFrenchbulldog is a premier French bulldog rescue organization - BigNews.biz (press release)

BigNews.Biz - Dec 27,2010 - Are we a french bulldog rescue organization? We most certainly are a French bulldog rescue organization!! RescueAFrenchBulldog is, in fact, the premier functioning french bulldog rescue in the United States. We rescue, rehabilitate and foster French Bulldogs that are surrendered to RescueAFrenchBulldog volunteers. We are able to rescue and care for the rescue french bulldogs through the financial resources of concerned individuals like you that love the french bulldog breed. We have a very devoted staff that has donated generously of their time, money and talents to better the lives of as many french bulldogs of all ages as they can.

The French bulldogs available for adoption on the rescueafrenchbulldog.com web site come to us from many different sources: some from other rescue organizations, some from private rescuers, some from responsible breeders seeking to find new homes for their breeder retirees, some are older puppies and some are adult dogs with medical issues and even handicapped dogs. Some of our French bulldogs come to us from individual owners who are unable to keep their French bulldogs for various reasons and want to find new homes for them with out surrendering them to an animal shelter or humane society.

Resuceafrenchbulldog receives no compensation for the rescue and placement of the surrendered french bulldogs. This is not a commercial venture for rescueafrenchbulldog it is a non profit public service dedicated to re homing french bulldogs into loving forever family homes. Any donations go directly into the rescue fund so we can help as many french bulldogs in need. Not just the those under the roof of rescueafrenchbulldog but also in the custody of other private rescuers and animal shelter groups.

If you have made the decision that a french bulldog would be the right fit for you and your family, PLEASE read and review the descriptions of the available French bulldogs on the available page on rescueafrenchbulldog. Make a list of the frenchies you might be interested in paying close attention to temperament details that would align with the personality and lifestyle of your family. The Descriptions should guide you through your selection process. Please pay close attention to the descriptions and not just the pictures of the french bulldog. Pictures do say a lot about the little frenchies but never tell the whole story.

Every effort is made to place the adoptive french bulldog into a loving forever home as soon a possible but please be patient with us while we review the applications for each frenchie. We receive several applications for each one of the frenchies before selecting a new forever family.

PLEASE complete the online adoption application, providing as much information about yourself as possible. The more thorough the application the easier it is for the committee to select the best adoptive home. Include a list of all persons in the household, including frequent visitors, grand children, step children. Include all animals, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles. Applications are not kept on file. If you want to be considered for

Martha Stewart in Bloody Brawl with French Bulldog? - PopEater

Sometimes things get dirty even for the domestic goddesses among us. Martha Stewart's beloved French bulldog, Francesca, sent the crafty queen to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.

TMZ reports that Martha leaned over to "whisper goodbye" to the sleeping pup. Martha assumes she "startled" the dog, because Francesca shot upward and hit Martha in the face, busting open her lip.

Martha says she "felt a bit of whiplash as blood gushed forth from [her] split lip." Unable to stop the bleeding herself, Martha called the police for a ride to hospital. She then remembered she had her own driver on standby, who was able to get her to the emergency room.

She received nine stiches to close up the bloody gash on her upper lip. Let's hope her doctor sewed that wound up precisely -- Martha's an expert seamstress and undoubtedly inspected the M.D.'s work.

Francecsa probably isn't in too much trouble for sending Martha to the hospital. It was, after all, an accident, and Martha is quite outspoken about her love for her dogs.

Francesca and her "sister," Sharkey, have their own blog, The Daily Wag. Martha and friends "help" the dogs give updates about their daily lives, as well as provide resources for pet owners. One of Martha's dogs was tragically killed in a kennel explosion in 2009.

French bulldog stolen from Orange County breeder in December is located; suspect in theft is arrestedJanuary 10, 2011 |  3:55pm

A French bulldog stolen from her Orange County owner last month was located at the home of a Duarte man on Thursday, The Times' local news blog L.A. Now reports.

Dog breeder Lorinda Tucker said she was pushed to the ground by a man who came to her home in response to an ad about a French bulldog for sale. The man ran off carrying Macy -- not the dog for sale but a family pet -- and drove away, according to the Orange County Register. At a press conference, Tucker said she had "not slept since [Macy] was taken, not knowing if she was warm, being fed, being taken care of."

Sheriff's deputies found Macy when they searched the residence of Darryl Jerome Cole, 20, who was on probation for a prior conviction related to stealing dogs. Another French bulldog, reported stolen during a September robbery in Chino, was also discovered during the search of Cole's home, and Cole told police that he had planned to breed the dogs and sell their puppies. He was held in custody over the weekend in lieu of bail and was scheduled to be arraigned Monday.

Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino said Costa Mesa and Temecula police are looking into the possibility that Cole could be involved in other, similar incidents of dog theft and attempted dog theft elsewhere in Southern California earlier in 2010.

If it's not a puppy mill, the perpetrator should get maximum fine for both stealing the dog(s) and assaulting the owner(s), plus B&E if appropriate. They used to shoot horse thieves...

If this woman sells dogs to total strangers through ads, with no other criteria than that they can pay her price, how would she have any way of knowing if THOSE dogs are "warm, being fed, being taken care of"?

She loses sleep over her family pet, but just hands over the other dogs she breeds for profit with no questions asked? She certainly has selective caring. I will save my sympathy for the dogs she sells like Tupperware to God knows who...

Chino woman reunited with stolen dogJanuary 10, 2011 |  6:05pm

Woman's dog A Chino woman has been reunited with her prized French bulldog, stolen from her home four months ago, police said Monday.

In September, a man met the woman at her home for the purpose of buying the dog, which was valued at $3,000. He grabbed the animal and fled through the woman's front door, the Chino Police Department said.

In December, police said, a similar crime took place in Santa Ana.

Police said leads in both cases led them to Darryl Cole, a Duarte resident who was booked on suspicion of taking both pets.

How "prized" can the dog have been if this woman was going to sell him/her to a stranger?

Now she has the dog back, what happens? She sells the dog to another stranger, just so long as that person has the price?

Just because some woman can get $3000 for a dog doesn't make that dog "prized." That dog deserves a human who will love him/her, not because of the price tag, but because the dog is a living being. The dog is alive and well, so the only crime here is that this woman didn't get her cash. That dog has no safety net, no due diligence to find out if it will have a happy life with an owner who can care for it for the rest of its life. If she gets her money she will hand that poor dog over to anybody who walks through her door.

There's nothing warm 'n' fuzzy about this story, regardless of the cute puppy photo. This unnamed woman is treating a living creature as a saleable commodity, with zero regard for the dog's welfare or future. She's not a crime victim, she's just another victimizer.

What dog is worth $3,000? Person with more money than brains must have paid this amount.

Posted by:naoma |January 11, 2011 at 01:03 PM

This was not a missing pet reunited with its family or a sentimental human interest story- the woman reported a crime because she saw $3000.00 being stolen, not a "beloved dog". This should not even be reported as news nor credit given to the woman selling this poor animal to the highest bidder.

Posted by:sabine |January 11, 2011 at 01:27 PM

It states " a man met the woman at her home for the purpose of buying the dog" meaning the women was not intending to sell the dog but the man wanted to offer to buy the dog. The price was just someone telling the reported how much the dog was worth. There was no mention of the women wanting to sell the dog in this article. Don't get me wrong the only thing I know about this story is that I read in that little paragraph but if thats it then you guys should learn how to read and understand the meaning of those words.

@ A student from East Los Angeles : " a man met the woman at her home for the purpose of buying the dog"...means that the woman had intentions of selling her "prized possession"....$3,000 for this dog, or just over $100 at the local shelter for the same unconditional love and companionship.

Wow love the dog what kind is it?

Second French bulldog found at home of dog-theft suspect is returned to ownerJanuary 11, 2011 |  1:48pm

Frenchbulldogpuppy

The second French bulldog puppy recovered from the Duarte home of a man arrested on suspicion of dog theft last week has been reunited with its owner, a Chino resident, The Times' local news blog, L.A. Now, reported.

Both French bulldogs were reported stolen under similar circumstances over the last few months: A man who claimed to be interested in purchasing a puppy instead snatched one from its breeder and ran.

Darryl Jerome Cole, 20, was arrested after sheriff's deputies searched his residence and found the two dogs there. Cole, who was on probation for a prior conviction involving dog theft, allegedly told police that he planned to breed the two and sell their offspring.

Police are reportedly investigating the possibility that Cole may be involved in other incidents of dog theft in Southern California last year.

Selma Blair pregnant - MiamiHerald.com

Donald Trump is again welcoming a motley crew to be his latest Celebrity Apprentice, airing March 6 on NBC.

The contenders include rock singer Gary Busey, Meat Loaf, La Toya Jackson, singer/entertainment reporter Mark McGrath, one-time teen idol David Cassidy and Richard Hatch, remembered as the fat, naked guy on the first season of Survivor. Interesting choice: Hatch has had lengthy legal wrangling with the Internal Revenue Service over unpaid taxes and could still be facing jail time.

Actress Marlee Matlin, singer Dionne Warwick and retired Major Leaguer Jose Canseco will also be among those competing. The rest of the 16 players should add some drama: TV personality Star Jones, Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes, soap actress Lisa Rinna, ex supermodel Niki Taylor, rapper Lil Jon, country singer John Rich and model Hope Dworaczyk.

Each hopes to raise money for a favorite charity, though some of them could probably use the cash themselves.

BLAIR'S NEXT PROJECT

Selma Blair is right on trend. The 38-year-old actress' rep confirms to UsMagazine.com that she is expecting her first child with fashion designer boyfriend Jason Bleick.

The Cruel Intentions star -- who split from husband Ahmet Zappa in 2006 and dated Kath & Kim costar Mikey Day from 2008 until 2010 -- has also been seen with what looks to be an engagement ring.

Also to be a mommy: Alicia Silverstone. The Clueless star, 34, is married to rocker Christopher Jarecki.

NOT A GOOD THING

Martha Stewart needed a trip to the ER after she woke up her French bulldog Francesca from a nap. The happy homemaker blogged that she apparently spooked the pooch, who slammed into Stewart's mouth. The gash required nine stitches.

``She bolted up-

right with such

force that she hit

me in the face like

a boxing glove

hitting an opponent's face,'' she wrote.

``I was entirely startled and my neck snapped back. I felt a bit of whiplash as blood gushed forth from my split lip. Frannie was as upset as I was and cowered in her bed.''

MONEY PIT

With the help of Oprah Winfrey, ``Octomom'' Nadya Suleman underwent a financial intervention.

Suleman got a money makeover Friday on The Oprah Winfrey Show with personal finance expert Suze Orman.

Suleman already had six children when she gave birth to octuplets in January 2009 and has since struggled to pay her bills. Her financial troubles have been widely publicized as have threats of eviction from her Southern California home.

Suleman has a $4,000 mortgage payment due on Feb. 1 and is months overdue on a $450,000 balloon payment. She has turned down adult film roles, though.

French Bulldog Thief Strikes Again, Running Off With $3000 Orange County Purebred - LA Weekly (blog)

darrylcole2612991.jpgOrange County Sheriff's DepartmentDuarte resident Darryl Cole stole one French bulldog too many?Updated after the jump with the dog thief's "obsessive compulsive" history. Originally posted at 12:53 p.m.

French bulldogs are super cute, we'll admit. Especially in holiday sweaters. But 20-year-old Darryl Jerome Cole, of L.A. County's own foothill town of Duarte, likes those little fat-faces way too much for comfort.

Of course, it could have something to do with the fact that French bulldogs, especially the real lookers (read: inbred walnut-brains), can be worth a few grand on the show-dog market.

Such was the case with a $3,000 purebred up for sale in Anaheim on Dec. 14 --

Cole quickly responded to the breeder's ad, and the buyer and seller met up in unincorporated Anaheim to make the deal.

However, since he couldn't bargain down to FREE, Cole decided to shove the breeder out of the way and run off with the little feller. He then took his latest catch back to his house, where OC sheriffs spokesman Jim Amormino says the crook was keeping another French bulldog, suspected to be one missing from a breeder in Chino.

Amormino says the department is pretty sure Cole is responsible for two more French Bulldog thefts in Temecula and Costa Mesa, as well. What can we say? Kid knows what he wants -- and gets around. Because Cole was already on probation for stealing dogs, his bail was set at a lofty $50,000.

Just over a month ago, two six-figure Akitas were stolen from outside a Motel 6 in Bellflower. Do you know where your show dogs are?

frenchbulldogimages.jpegFrench bulldogs: they make you do crazy things?Update: According to Lorinda Tucker, the owner of Macy, the bulldog Cole took in December, the young man showed up at her house after dark -- even though she never gave him her address.

"He seemed OCD, straightening everything out in front of him," she said at a news conference this afternoon. "He said, 'Remember me? I'm Nick. I called earlier.'''

Macy was dressed in a glittery pink sweater for the conference. (What did we tell you about bulldogs and sweaters?) Her newly not-for-sale companion at her side, Tucker described how Cole slammed her on the ground that night, and "just took off -- the next thing I saw was skids and taillights.''

According to investigators, Cole was "very cooperative and very apologetic." Strangest of all, they noticed he was extremely knowledgable about the dogs and their specific breeds.

"I've never met anyone who didn't fall in love with a Frenchie," said Tucker.

With reporting from City News Service.

Celebrity Dogs Gone Wild

Francesca the French bulldog looks like an adorable canine princess, and, for the most part ... she is. That is unless you interrupt her beauty sleep. Martha Stewart’s precious pooch went feral on her face yesterday, which resulted in a trip to the hospital for stitches on her lip. So why did Franny flip out? Martha leaned down to whisper bye-bye to her doggy as she slept. Franny must have been having a nightmare or something because she awoke suddenly and head butted Martha in the mouth. The doggy equivalent of “Don’t wake me up!” Luckily, Martha is willing to forgive Franny for the attack, but hopefully she’s learned her lesson; let sleeping dogs lie. [Dlisted]
