A Chino woman has been reunited with her prized French bulldog, stolen from her home four months ago, police said Monday.
In September, a man met the woman at her home for the purpose of buying the dog, which was valued at $3,000. He grabbed the animal and fled through the woman's front door, the Chino Police Department said.
In December, police said, a similar crime took place in Santa Ana.
Police said leads in both cases led them to Darryl Cole, a Duarte resident who was booked on suspicion of taking both pets.

How "prized" can the dog have been if this woman was going to sell him/her to a stranger?
Now she has the dog back, what happens? She sells the dog to another stranger, just so long as that person has the price?
Just because some woman can get $3000 for a dog doesn't make that dog "prized." That dog deserves a human who will love him/her, not because of the price tag, but because the dog is a living being. The dog is alive and well, so the only crime here is that this woman didn't get her cash. That dog has no safety net, no due diligence to find out if it will have a happy life with an owner who can care for it for the rest of its life. If she gets her money she will hand that poor dog over to anybody who walks through her door.
There's nothing warm 'n' fuzzy about this story, regardless of the cute puppy photo. This unnamed woman is treating a living creature as a saleable commodity, with zero regard for the dog's welfare or future. She's not a crime victim, she's just another victimizer.

What dog is worth $3,000? Person with more money than brains must have paid this amount.

This was not a missing pet reunited with its family or a sentimental human interest story- the woman reported a crime because she saw $3000.00 being stolen, not a "beloved dog". This should not even be reported as news nor credit given to the woman selling this poor animal to the highest bidder.

It states " a man met the woman at her home for the purpose of buying the dog" meaning the women was not intending to sell the dog but the man wanted to offer to buy the dog. The price was just someone telling the reported how much the dog was worth. There was no mention of the women wanting to sell the dog in this article. Don't get me wrong the only thing I know about this story is that I read in that little paragraph but if thats it then you guys should learn how to read and understand the meaning of those words.

@ A student from East Los Angeles : " a man met the woman at her home for the purpose of buying the dog"...means that the woman had intentions of selling her "prized possession"....$3,000 for this dog, or just over $100 at the local shelter for the same unconditional love and companionship.
